Program - Social Events

During MultiTemp 2017 we welcome you in the city of Bruges, a Unesco World Heritage site. Its medieval centre, religious heritage, rich history, but also its world famous chocolate and beer make it a city to explore. A city to visit.

After spending the day in the charming Grand Hotel Casselbergh we look forward to introducing you to the Venice of the North, Bruges.

We offer you two evening activities. Participation to both activities is included in your registration fee. Your partner is also welcome and can be registered via your conference registration. Please note that an additional cost will be charged for your partner.

Tuesday 27 June 2017 – Welcome Reception @ Bourgogne Des Flandres

We end the first day with a welcome reception at the brewery “Bourgogne Des Flandres”, located in the historic city centre. The reception will be combined with a guided visit to the brewery. The brewer will explain passionately how the beer is brewed and will offer you the chance to taste this unique Belgian beer.

Join us and let’s toast to the start of the 9th edition of MultiTemp.

Wednesday 28 June 2017 – Social event & Symposium Dinner (Fully booked)

We guide you to the famous Burg square for an official welcome reception at the City Hall of Bruges. A representative of the mayor’s office will welcome us in the Gothic Hall. With its late 19th-century murals and polychrome vault, this hall is an absolute masterpiece. In the historic chamber, original documents and artefacts are used to evoke the history of the city’s administration throughout the centuries.

After a drink and an appetizer, you will be guided through Bruges and discover its religious heritage and history, as well as local arts and crafts. You have the possibility to choose between three different city tours. Each group will be guided through some of Bruges’ nicest spots and stop at a  unique place for a small appetizer. What you will discover, that’s your choice:

  • Meet the locals: trades and artists in Bruges
  • Music meets culture in the ancient Bruges
  • Special taste of Bruges, stimulate the senses

After the guided tours all groups gather again for the symposium diner where we will enjoy a main dish and dessert.
